Getting angry, crying shouting - maybe wasting some more PED in a firefight that you don't have the avatar skills to do JACK in and blasting out a bunch of madness is a welcome bit of entertainment for them when they are literally working a shift guarding a spawn point for hours at a time. I mean with all that said you know space piracy is boring as fuck. Space piracy is great for MA, and it's even better for them when we fight back. MA wants us out there throwing money at these guys to stop them from trying to take our money. I have mixed feelings about this aspect of "Reality" in game because the paired aspect (the ability to actually do something about it) is not present in equal amount. They've provided all the tools and so some people have decided to pick them up and use them. It's obvious that MA are wholly committed to this dynamic. Still no way I end up a pirate or friendly to people who, given the list of options, decide that thievery is their most comfortable choice. Also most of NVE thinking they're using the tools MA gave them to fulfill a role that MA has created for players to fill so adding 'value' to the game. I know plenty of, ahhh, shady people in real life and most of them think that in the balance they're good people. When it became obvious that I literally couldn't hit Varyag with my freaking gun I'm forced to have as the pilot there they actually offered to take me in team and teach me how to shoot at them properly. It was so hilarious I had a sleipnir and grenades and that grenade launcher is NOT like a laser. I was out there screwing around the other night.
